Fencing Panels
A guide to selecting the most suitable Fencing Panels

Fencing panels are the most cost effective means of creating a solid barrier but you have a very wide choice of fencing panels to choose from. This guide offers some useful tips on selecting the most suitable fencing panels for your property.
Fencing Panels

Fencing Panels - What are your priorities?
Privacy - Deter Intruders - Reduce the Wind - Reduce noise - The Look.
And the second question, are there any restrictions on the height of fencing panels ? Generally at the back of the house you can install fencing panels up to 2m high and most authorities would not object to a 300mm trellis on top. Front gardens, particularly on Estates or fronting onto roads, you would be well advised to check.

Privacy
If this is your number one priority then Pressure Treated Overlap Fencing Panels or Golden Dipped Fencing Panels may be the answer, as with anything the more you pay the greater the choice and Treated Feather Edge Panels and the Treated Close Board Panels are both constructed from heavier timbers, the thicker more robust panels will also reduce noise to a degree.

Deter Intruders
Fencing panels incorporating a Trellis top or Trellis added to the top of fencing panels is apparently one of the best deterrents, it is virtually impossible to climb over without it collapsing, this and the noise and the obvious damage will deter the casual opportunist. If you grow something like an old fashioned rambling rose over the trellis you make it into a quite formidable barrier, if security is the major consideration also look at our range of gates.

Reduce the Wind
It is claimed that a hedge will disturb the wind for many times its own height; this is because it allows an element of wind through. This in-turn reduces the vortex effect that a solid barrier can generate. The Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire range of fencing panels all have gaps that allow a small amount of wind to filter through but not as effective as a wind barrier as Willow or Hazel Hurdles.

Reduce Noise
The Buffalo range of fencing panels are probably the most solidly constructed fencing panels we offer, from our experience and feed back from Customers, they can definitely mute the noise where the source of noise originates below panel height. Also these fencing panels have unique moveable slats which overcome the difficulty of expansion and contraction with the weather.

The Look
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but with such an extensive range of Fencing Panels it should be possible to find a style that complements your house and garden. By shopping at a specialist supplier of fencing panels you have the opportunity to build the fence that reflects your particular requirements.
