The Board of Directors of Fountain Timber Products Ltd recognise the importance of sound environmental management at all levels of the organisation and are committed to developing a business that is both environmentally aware and dedicated to minimising any negative environmental impacts. The company processes and supplies timber products, which are a renewable, low energy, low environmental impact alterative to other building products.

Fountain Timber are FSC members (Chain of Custody) and operate to ISO 14001.

Fountain Timber Products and group companies have a record of sustained yield management in the UK.On a wider scale, we have a policy of actively promoting the sustainable management of forests worldwide, through legislative and policy reform which leads to the environmental services provided by forests to be reflected in the price paid for timber products

- transparency and accountability in forest governance and timber trade
- community stakeholders involvement in forest and national park management
- and new tree planting for land rehabilitation and bio-engineering purposes.

It is our policy to:

Comply with all legislative requirements as a minimum; but where practically possible to exceed these requirements.
Prevent pollution
Be committed to a "continuous improvement program"
Obtain timber from managed and sustainable sources and to seek independent certification whenever possible.
To introduce all necessary controls to ensure as far as practically possible, that impacts to air, water or land are minimised.
To undertake training programs so that all employees understand the impact of their activities.
