Gates that do the job and look right at home
A timber gate can serve many functions – from defining boundaries and providing reassuring levels of security, to offering control over access. Built with quality materials and craftsmanship, a handmade timber gate also becomes an eye-catching feature that complements your property.
Garden gates that work with your space
Blending strength with a natural, welcoming appearance
A quality garden gate should feel like part of the landscape; ready to handle regular use and stand up to the elements, while also sitting comfortably within your outdoor space.
Our range of garden-style gates includes everything from neat tongue-and-groove panels to classic picket and featheredge options, built from pressure-treated softwood and constructed with ledge and brace framing for long-lasting reliability.
For something understated and solid, the Tongue and Grooved Flat Top Gate is a popular choice. Equally robust and visually subtle, the Framed T&G Gate includes a sturdy frame and can be made to measure up to 1.5m wide and 2.1m high. For something more decorative that still offers plenty in the way of functionality, try the Picket Gate with Pointed Top, ideal for gardens where airflow and visibility are key concerns.
Other options include the Featheredge Gate – Fully Framed, which pairs well with matching featheredge fencing, and the Cottage Garden Gate, which adds shape and character with its concave or convex design.

Country gates for larger openings
Rural strength combined with dependable construction
Country style gates are well suited to open spaces, paddocks and driveways with a rural or rustic character. Their taller height and horizontal bracing give them a distinctive look and make them suitable for both decorative and working use.
The Universal Gate is one of the most versatile options in our range, with a 1.2m height and the flexibility to hang left or right. Its domed bolts and framed ends offer a strong, balanced appearance.
For a larger entrance, the Entrance Gate features a hockey-stick style hanging post and is made to order from pressure-treated softwood. For a more refined finish, the Hardwood Entrance Gate offers the same timeless design, crafted in high-quality hardwood for a more distinctive look.

Driveway gates made for secure access
Built to fit and made to last
Driveway gates need to provide security, privacy, and durability, but they should also complement your property’s frontage. All our Driveway Gates are made to order and have been updated with a stronger framework to improve strength and ease of installation. Driveway gates are available in treated softwood or selected hardwoods and can be built to fit your exact measurements.
The Aberdeen Driveway Gates offer a timeless look with solid panelled design, ideal for privacy. For a lighter appearance, the Banff and Arbroath models use an open slatted top, letting in light while still maintaining a clear boundary. If you want something more refined, Stirling, Edinburgh, and Perth offer variation in structure, all while staying rooted in traditional style.

Choosing posts, hinges and finishes
The right materials help your gate perform
To make sure your gate operates smoothly and stays strong, you’ll need the correct supporting hardware. Our full range of Gate Posts and Hinges, Latches & Fastenings are built for outdoor use and chosen to pair with our gates.
Fittings are important for ensuring strength and stability, especially on larger or heavier gates. If you're unsure which hardware works best with your setup, our team can advise you on post sizes, hanging direction, and appropriate latches or locks.
All our softwood gates are pressure-treated to protect against rot and insect attack. For extra weather protection and personalisation, you can apply a coloured or clear wood finish. We recommend Treatex Classic Colours or Thorndown Wood Paint for coloured finishes. If you prefer a clear look, use Treatex Sheer Oil or Cedar Oil to protect the wood while keeping its natural appearance.
Always test the product on a small section first and follow the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure the best results.
