Bracken Down

Harvested high in the Mendip Hills, the shredded bracken is mixed with bark and farmyard manure and thoroughly composed to produce a multipurpose soil conditioner enriched with trace elements. The weight/volume of the pre-packed plastic bags is calculated to one sixteenth of a cubic meter. The contents will cover an area approximately 1.2m² (1.3yd²) to a depth of 50mm (2"). Bracken Down is supplied to us in bulk quantities measured before dispatch to us - For each individual load we purchase, the volume supplied is determined by weight. To ensure we can guarantee to supply customers a consistent amount when the load is broken down for sale, we have introduced accurate scales to measure the volume by weight and fill each dumpy bag to the weight required. Each bag contains approximately 0.75m³.
